I am voting “no” on Question 4, again.

Yes, the same old question is back once more. TABOR was voted down twice before by the citizens of Maine, and yet it is back once more.

I am an educator in the Lewiston public school system and I know the devastation the cutbacks would cause. Classes would be larger, students would have less individual attention, popular programs would be cut, materials and technology would not be updated and the list goes on.

Students would receive less services and could end up paying fees for extracurricular activities such a music or sports.

TABOR would establish a recession level of funding for Lewiston schools resulting in a loss of as much as a million dollars in the next few years.

I urge voters to keep public education strong in Lewiston and join me in voting “no” on Question 4.
