Parent-teacher conferences
SOUTH PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will hold parent-teacher conferences from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29. All teachers and/or teams will have conferences at this time. Call Buffy Nason at 743-8914, ext. 9532, by 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, with questions or to arrange appointments.
Those who do not call ahead for an appointment may sign up for a time on Oct. 29 by stopping at the classroom and signing up for any open time on the appointment sheet posted outside the teacher’s classrooms. Maps of the building and student schedules will be available in the Guidance Office.
All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
Bridge play
NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Oct. 23 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street. A three and a half table Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Richard Balian and Woody Mercier with Dick Allen and Pete Cummings second. Third were Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer. Finishing first in flight B were Hazel Glazier and Priscilla Rooth with Carol Curran and Denny Raymond second.

Karaoke dance
NORWAY — There will be karaoke from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at The American Legion Post 82, with professional DJ’s
“The Old Crows.” Food will be available. All are invited to sing or dance for
$6. The proceeds will go to The American Legion post.
Society meeting
OXFORD — The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the Kay House Museum, Pleasant Street. The program will be “History of The State Police” presented by Percy Turner. Refreshments will follow after the meeting.
