BRIDGTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing will offer a free workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers designed to use writing as an effective way to sort through thoughts and feelings.

“Writing for Sanity” is scheduled to be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the small board room at Bridgton Hospital.

Workshop leader Dianne Sinclair, LCPC, will experiment with writing practices that bring order to scattered thoughts and levity to burdening concerns. “Grammar and spelling will not be important in this workshop, so try to leave your inner critic at home,” said Sinclair.

Registrations will be accepted by calling the Dempsey Center at 795-8250 or toll-free 1-877-336-7287. For more information, visit www.dempseycenter.org.
