Snowmobile club

NEW VINEYARD — The New Vineyard North Snowmobile Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Smith Hall. Members should bring a snack to share. The public is invited. Call 652-2254 for more information.

Public supper

WILTON — The Wilton Lodge 156, Maine Lodge 20, Jepthah Council 17, Franklin Chapter 34 and Pilgrim Commandery 19 will hold a public supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, in the new Harland Harnden Masonic Lodge Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton.

Roast beef, fall harvest vegetables, rolls and homemade pies will be served. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the Building Fund. The new Harnden Masonic Building holds the Lodge but also has a dining hall and kitchen.

Legion meeting

WELD — The October meeting of the Weld American Legion began with a beef stew supper to honor the Boys State delegate from Weld, Mt. Blue High School senior Tash Doughty, and his parents, Naomi and Richard Doughty. The legion sponsored Tash and he gave an informative presentation about his experiences at the Boys State session held at Thomas College. During the regular meeting, notice was given to the passing of a longtime Weld Legion member, Almon Winter.
