Shelter fundraiser

NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care will have a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at
Charlie’s Entertainment Center, 246 Main St. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. The entry fee is $55 and checks will be accepted for ticket sales until seven days prior to the event.

Tickets are available at Spare Closet Revisited, 446 Main St., 743-3891; Responsible Pet Care, 132 Waterford Road, 743-8679; and Charlie’s Entertainment Center at 246 Main St., 744-0123. A cash bar, food and refreshments will be available.

Children’s Halloween party

BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Recreation Department and the Bridgton Community Center will sponsor a children’s Halloween party from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. The free party is for children up to the sixth grade and will be held at the Bridgton Town Hall. There will be games, snacks and prizes for everyone. Juggler Rick Haggerstrom will perform and the moon-bounce will be ready for use.

Supper, dance

SOUTH PARIS — The American Legion will have a public supper on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the American
Legion Hall on Church Street. The dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The cost for adults is $3. From 7 to 10 p.m., the Jones Band will play during a country dance. Cost for the dance is $5.

Open mic 

NORWAY — An open mic night and Halloween bash will be held on Friday, Oct. 30,
at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. Sign-up will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the open mic starting at 7 p.m. There will be a $3 donation at the door. Participants are welcome to come in costume.

Halloween party

OXFORD — The Oxford Recreation will have a Halloween party from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be popcorn, donut holes, candy, hot chocolate and coffee. There will be costume judging and games and prizes will be given for different
