Plaque unveiling
RUMFORD — The unveiling of the Acadian Plaque will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Rumford Public Library.
After almost a year of preparation and the gathering of Acadian family names established in the River Valley Area, the plaque has been mounted on the rock next to the library. Refreshments will be served in the library basement after the ceremony. The public is invited.
Mystery dinner
OXFORD — The Oxford County Republicans and Murder For Hire will sponsor a murder mystery play and dinner, “Politics Can Be Murder.” The event will held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Oxford Rec Center.
