This is in response to the printed letter from Nancy Willard (Oct. 16) and other responses to my letter of Oct. 9.

First of all “reverend” belongs to God, Psalm 111:9, not to me.

I thank the “critics” for their responses to my letter. I have words for those who do not know God. In Acts 17:22-34, Paul told the people of Athens about the God that they didn’t know. Paul said, “God I proclaim to you, this God who made the world and everything in it, God is Lord of heaven and earth … He gives to all life, breath and all things. And he has made from one blood every nation of men (mankind).”

How can anyone say that religion and government are separate, when God is king of heaven and Earth?

One “critic” inferred that God made women inferior to man. I don’t believe that God sees skin color or gender; He sees souls. Proverbs 31:10 says that a woman’s worth is far above rubies. Females are equal to males, if not greater. A woman is made in the image of God. She is a helpmate (a helper suitable) for man. Might that be part of the problem? Man has made women unequal.

How much more are people going to challenge God?

I implore people to let go of self and let God help them answer the question. Join me in voting “yes” on Question 1.
