Minot Consolidated School teacher Wendy Simard, wearing a candy corn tiara, finishes gluing candy corn to a pair of shower shoes Friday. Simard spearheaded the observance of National Candy Corn Day for students to enjoy as an alternative to Halloween parties. Everything is candy corn today from shoes to cup cakes, Simard said.
