Jazz band performance
RUMFORD — The U.S Air Force Liberty Jazz Band will perform at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Rumford Municipal Auditorium, 145 Congress
St. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and there will be seating on the floor
and in the balcony. Handicap access to the elevator is available from
the River Street entrance. The performance is sponsored by the Rumford
Performing Arts Committee.

Bottle drive
RUMFORD — The Mountain Valley Majorettes will collect recyclable
bottles and cans in the Rumford/Mexico area on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Bottles and cans may also be donated and dropped off between 9 a.m. and
5 p.m. at Ralph’s Store Deli, 341 Cumberland St.
Grand reopening
RUMFORD — The What Not Shop, a used items store operated by Hope
Associates, will hold a grand reopening on Monday, Nov. 2, at the store
located in the Hope Associates building on Lincoln Avenue. The
secondhand business has been shut down for most of the summer so that
the heating and lighting systems could be upgraded and the ceilings
lowered on the main floor.
The shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through
Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays. Hope Associates serves
developmentally challenged adults.
New sale location
BETHEL — The 29th annual Bethel Outing Club Ski Sale has changed
venues. The sale will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 and
from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Bethel Inn Resort’s
Conference Center, 10
Broad St., behind the Bethel Historical Society’s O’Neil
Robinson House.
Class lunch
DIXFIELD — The Stephens High School Class of 1952 will meet at at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the
Front Porch in Dixfield for their monthly luncheon. All classmates and
