Lorraine L. Angers

1921 – 2009

AUBURN — Lorraine L. Angers, 88, of 200 Stetson Road, Schooner Estates, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., on Aug. 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie Morin Lessard. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1940 and was married Dec. 29, 1945, to Leo Paul Angers who predeceased her on Dec. 4, 2001.

Lorraine was a housewife and moved to Connecticut in 1951 and returned to Auburn in April 2007.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Stratford, Conn., and St. Philip’s Church in Auburn.

She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Angers-Plotkin and husband, William, of Coral Springs, Fla., and Dorothy McCone and husband, William, of Monroe, Conn.; a granddaughter, Kelly Prendergast and husband, Dan, of Monroe, Conn.; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Daniel Ryan; three sisters, Doris Fournier of Helotes, Texas, Yvette Longtin and husband, Henry, of Auburn, and Claire Rossignol and husband, William, of Bucksport; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Demers and Muriel Gagne; and three brothers, Leo, Roland and Gerard Lessard.

The Angers family would like to extend heartfelt thanks for the support provided by friends and family during this difficult time. They are also very grateful for the care provided by Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, Central Maine Medical Center and Schooner Estates.
