Theresa M. Guay
1923 – 2009
FARMINGTON – Theresa M. Guay, 86, of Jay, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 30, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family at her side, following a long illness.
She had resided in Lewiston for 70 years before moving to Jay in 2003.
Theresa was born in Mexico, on March 27, 1923, the daughter of Jean and Anna (Richard) LeBlanc. She married Marcel I. Guay on Nov. 26, 1943. After raising her family, she worked at Marcotte Nursing Home until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Marcel Guay of Jay; four sons, Robert Guay of South Dakota, Richard Guay and his wife, Sue, of New Hampshire, Roland Guay and his wife, Claire, of Old Orchard Beach and Ronald Guay and his wife, Laurie, of Jay; 10 grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jessica, Michael, Chelsey, Joshua, Heather, Taylor and Acadia; four great-grandchildren; four brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was predeceased by four brothers; and four sisters.
Her life was long, her love was tender, she was a beautiful person we’ll always remember. Good-bye Mom.
