NORWAY — The Children’s Room at Norway Memorial Library will offer a knitting club for children ages 7 to 12 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays, Nov. 9, 16 and 23.
Students will knit scarves for themselves or to give as gifts, with volunteers Lynette Gatchell-Seames and Marty Elkin helping each child to learn basic knitting techniques. Parents and grandparents who knit are welcome to join as well.
Yarn will be provided, although students are welcome to bring their own if they want a specific color. Students are asked to bring their own needles, size nine or 10. The class will also be a follow-up for children who have participated in the Paris Library’s Monday knitting group in October.
Space is limited and preregistration is required. Register by visiting the Children’s Room or calling 743-5308 by Friday, Nov. 6. Norway Memorial Library is located at 258 Main St.
