Church fair

MEXICO — The annual Christmas at the Green Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday,
Nov. 7, at the Mexico
Congregational United Church of Christ, Main Street.

There will be cider presses
working on the front lawn. Inside, there will be crafts,
raffles, baked goods, attic treasures, books, puzzles and
children’s activities. Raffle items will include hand-braided wool rugs, a
50-50 and a Chinese auction.

Coffee and muffins will be served in the
morning with a hot lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. The turkey supper will not be served that day, but will
be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.

Lodge notice

CANTON — Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will confer the Fellow Craft degree on two
candidates at a meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov 5. The meeting will
be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30 p.m. All Master Masons are
welcome.

Hunter safety

MEXICO — Region 9 Adult
Education will offer a hunter safety class from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. The course is open to ages 10 and up. Those ages 10 to 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Cost of the course
is $10 each person. Home study required for completion of the
