The EK and kindergarten students from Rumford Elementary School went to the Rumford Fire Station recently to coincide with their Health Unit on fire safety. Fire Chief Bob Chase is shown helping Mikayla Burse in the ladder truck. The firefighters demonstrated what they look like with their gear on, gave a talk about fire safety and let children sit in the fire trucks. They also passed out fire hats, pencils and badges for each child.
