FARMINGTON —
The pet of the week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter is Belmont. The staff said she came to the shelter in July and has been waiting ever since to find a new home. Although she is a little shy, staff members said she is very sweet. Belmont would love a little one on one time with someone, so she can wiggle her way into their heart, they said.

On Friday, Nov. 27, also known as Black Friday, all black cat adoption fees will be waived.

Dogs that have come to the shelter recently are
two female hounds from Industry,
a male beagle from East Livermore,
a Pomeranian from Farmington
and a lab mix from Farmington.
