Farwell Elementary School in Lewiston recently held their 40th annual
Farwell Pumpkin Festival benefiting the school’s Parent-Teacher
Association. Hundreds of parents and children came to the event where
there were crafts, a book fair, raffles, baked goods, candy apples, hot
dogs, pizza, fried dough, popcorn, balloons, a 50/50, games and of
course, pumpkins. Pictured from left are Adele and Morris Silverman;
Jamie Ouellette, secretary of the Farwell Elementary School PTA; and
Adam Morris, marketing director of Maine Family Federal Credit Union.
The Silverman’s were part of the original group of people who started
the festival 40 years ago.
