LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will offer a free workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers titled “Coping with Holiday Stress.” Sessions will run from 1 to 2 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

Monday, Nov. 9, at Central Maine Medical Center, 12 High Street, Conference Room I.

Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Rumford Hospital, Room 357.

Friday, Nov. 20, at Bridgton Hospital, Small Board Room.

The workshop is geared for those who used to look forward to the holiday season, but are now feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Presenter Emily Ecker, LCSW and outreach oncology social worker, will discuss ways to manage stress by prioritizing what is valued most, delegating tasks and adjusting favorite traditions.
