TURNER — The MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education of Greene, Leeds and Turner will have a holiday ornament class on Tuesday, Nov. 17. All materials will be provided. During the one night class, participants will start with a few Victorian ornaments, a mini nosegay, a raffia ball and a potpourri filled ball. Womenomics
LEWISTON — The Lewiston/Auburn Advisory Council of the Maine Women’s
Fund will kickoff the Women’s Leadership Series from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave.
At the first of four sessions, the group will discuss “Womenomics.”

AUBURN — The Alden M. Gayton, Post 31, 426 Washington St., will open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day. At noon, the post will host veterans from the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris for

Society meeting
LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Historical
Society will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Room 6, MTM Center. Richard Pelley, a 1949 graduate of Lewiston High School, will relate his
memories of a civilian youth during wartime and recount some of his
experiences during a long career in the United States Coast Guard,
including two tours of duty in Vietnam during the war.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and those attending should use the rear entrance. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m., followed by refreshments. There is no charge, and the public is welcome.

LEWISTON — The next MS Support Group and Caregivers meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 11, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave. Since November is National Caregivers Month, there will be a

Craft workshop
AUBURN — A holiday craft workshop will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Androscoggin Community Room
at Auburn Public Library. Local crafter Helen Heikkinen will lead the workshop where attendees will fold and glue old
Christmas cards into matchboxes and then decorate them using
paint, ribbons and various found objects.
Christmas cards and
decorating materials will be provided, and participants may also bring their own.
The program is for teens and
adults. A $3 fee will cover the
materials cost. Space is limited and advance registration is required. To
