Quilters

RUMFORD — The Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell St.
A Christmas fabric square swap is planned. Those participating in the swap are requested to bring one yard of Christmas fabric washed, dried, ironed and cut into six-and-a-half-inch squares.

During the winter, the group will not meet if school has been cancelled due to weather. All area quilters welcome.

Child care program

MEXICO — Child care is now available at Region 9 Adult Education. Those with children
ages 2 and up may sign up to attend academic night classes and after completing the enrollment process, students are eligible to
bring
their child at night to a supervised child care program.

Child care will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $1 each night.

Ski passes

RUMFORD — Black Mountain is giving season’s passes for skiing to all of
the students in kindergarten, first and second grades in the
new RSU 10 and Holy Savior School. Season’s passes can be obtained at the mountain from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 7. For more information, call Black Mountain at 364-8977.

Snowmobile club

ROXBURY — The Slippery Sliders snowmobile club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday,
Nov. 10, at the home of Sylvia Touchette. Members are urged to attend. For more information, call Phyllis

Harvest supper

RUMFORD — The Rumford Elks Lodge will have a harvest supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, followed by dancing and karaoke from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. There will be an $8 donation for the supper; no charge for veterans. The cost for dancing and karaoke will be $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers.

There will be door prizes and raffles. Tickets may be purchased at the lodge or call Ann White at 364-7081.
