New hours

NORWAY — The Stephens Volunteer Services Thrift Shop, Danforth Street, will expand their hours for the fall season and will be open on Saturdays beginning Nov. 7 and continuing through Dec. 12.

The shop is currently open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. There will be a two-week closure during the last two weeks of December for the holidays. The shop will reopen for regular business hours on Thursday, Jan. 7.
Stephens Volunteer Services is part of Stephens Memorial Hospital which is an affiliate of Western Maine Health and a member of MaineHealth. 

Girl scouts

WEST PARIS — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and
registration meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Agnes L. Gray Elementary School.

County Republicans

OXFORD — The Oxford County Republicans will met on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Oxford Advent Christian Church, Route 26. A social hour will be held at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner and business meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Knitting club

PARIS — The Paris Public Library will host a knitting club from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays. The knitting club is open to everyone, from beginning to advanced, and all ages are welcome. Some
experienced knitters will be on hand to help teach people interested in
learning how to knit. There is no need to sign up to join the club.

Bridge play

NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met on Oct. 30, in the Fare Share Building, Main Street, when a 3 and 1/2 table Howell movement was enjoyed.

Finishing first in flight A and B were Richard Worthington and Jim Fallon.
Tied for second were flight A, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements with flight B, Priscilla Rooth and Hazel Glazier.

Hunters’ breakfast

BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Community Center will have an all you can eat hunters’ breakfast from 4 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Shawnee Peak. The cost is $9 each person.
