BETHEL — The final presentation of the 2009 Bethel Historical Society Lecture Series focusing on Oxford County history will feature a panel of eight to 10 people who are familiar with the early days of Sunday River and Mt. Abram ski resorts. The oral history night will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the meeting room of the Dr. Moses Mason House, 14 Broad St.
Both ski resorts had their beginnings approximately 50 years ago and the society will open an exhibit on this ski heritage on Saturday, Nov. 21.
Panelists will answer a variety of questions about the early days and those attending are encouraged to add any memories they may have to the discussion. Everyone interested is invited to attend and admission is free.
