AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Ave., for the annual Thanksgiving dinner. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and dinner will be at noon.

Tickets, for $5, for the Christmas dinner at the Green Ladle at Lewiston High School may be purchased by phoning Irving Grant at 782-3661.

There were 56 members present when Robin Dow Senior Citizens met on Oct. 14, not 29 members, as erroneously reported.

There were 61 members present for the Oct. 28 meeting at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, with President Virginia Houston presiding. Merry and Alwin Strout and Kaye Hewison were welcomed back, returning after being out ill. Birthdays were acknowledged for October. There will be no meetings during November and December because of the holidays.

Names submitted and approved for officer positions for 2010 are: president, Merry Strout; vice president, Helen Stelmok; treasurer, Irving Grant; assistant treasurer, George Remillard; secretary, Caroline Chapman; corresponding secretary, Aileen Harnden; and chaplain, Patricia Donohue. Board of directors, honorary president, Virginia Houston; secretary, Caroline Chapman; treasurer, Irving Grant; Lucien Marcoux; Ralph Lashua; Alwin Strout; Helen McGuire; and Nancy Roy.

A Halloween luncheon was prepared by Irving Grant and Lucien Marcoux. Shirley Hawkins, Bernice Brooks and Leone Ford each won a prize for the most original Halloween costumes. Attendance prize winners were George Remillard and Clara Hahn; pot of gold, Ann Gavel, Lorraine Marcous and Edward Laine; mystery prize, Evelyn Rose, Betty Hebert and George Herrick Sr.

After the meeting and lunch, bingo was played.
