On Friday, Nov. 6, Poor Howard Stith of Dover, N.H., will perform blues at the restaurant/cafe, She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston. Poor Howard Stith has been performing 12-string barrel-house blues for over 30 years.

On Saturday, Nov. 7, Brooklyn artists Spider and Cabinet of Natural Curiosities will perform. Spider is Jane Herships’ folk project. Her tunes have the quality you look for in music if you’ve been under the spell of artists like Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley and Cowboy Junkies.
Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, based in Missoula, Mont., and Brooklyn, N.Y, is the project of songwriter Jasmine Dreame Wagner, who collaborates with a rotating cast of musicians in both cities. The music is sparse, wistful, psychedelic-tinged Americana with elements of electronica and dark ambient sound. Both shows start at 9 p.m., there is no cover, and for more information call 376-3344.
