BRUNSWICK Full Circle: A Women’s Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Anne-Marie D’Amico, will celebrate their 15th anniversary season and the release of their third CD, “For the Future,” with three concerts: 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov.20, at First Universalist Church, 97 Main St., Yarmouth; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St., Auburn, and 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Unitarian Universalist Church, 15 Pleasant St., Brunswick.
The “For the Future” CD contains songs that celebrate the human spirit and inspire positive change. The music for the title song was written by Malcolm Dalglish, a current composer who writes choral scores for contemporary poetry, as well as for traditional songs and his own lyrics. “For the Future” is a poem by Wendell Berry, “Planting trees early in spring, we make a place for birds to sing in time to come. How do we know? They’re singing here now, singing here now. There is no other guarantee that singing will ever be.”
Suggested donation for each concert is $ 12 at the door. The whole family is welcome as Full Circle’s fans range in age from 7 to 70.
