Kenneth Frost
1938 – 2009

 
AUBURN — Kenneth Frost, 71, a longtime resident of Cobbossee Road, East Monmouth, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, with his family by his side, after a long struggle with cancer.

He was born March 29, 1938, in East Monmouth, the son of Wesley S. and Sarah J. Walton Frost. He attended Monmouth schools. He married Donna Tibbetts on May 5, 1962, while he was stationed with the U.S. Army in Baltimore, Md. Ken worked in construction and excavation, owning his own business for many years; he also worked for Blue Rock and Larry and Sons for many years.

He enjoyed his grandchildren and loved hunting and fishing with his sons, grandchildren and nephews. He enjoyed his horses and had three special ones, Honey, Star and Brix and also his beloved dog Hank. He and Donna loved to go camping at Cathedral Pines Campground in Eustis, where he loved to go fishing. He loved his trucks and all of his 12 John Deere tractors. He was a member of American Legion Post 204 in Monmouth.

He is survived by his wife, Donna of East Monmouth; five sons, Rod Frost and his wife, Jackie, of Gardiner, Rick Frost and his wife, Lauri, of East Monmouth, Darin Frost and his wife, Tamara, of Monmouth, Ryan Frost and his wife, Lisa, of Winthrop and Keith Frost and his wife, Kris, of North Monmouth; three daughters, Jana Armstrong and her husband, David, of East Monmouth, Jodi Caprara and her husband, Carl, of Winthrop and Dania Blais and her husband, Matt, of East Monmouth; 18 grandchildren, Nick Frost, Roddy, Chason and Garrett Frost, Nate and Jill Armstrong, Ben, Jack and Hanna Caprara, Ryan and Sarah Scott, Jacob, Caleb and Gabriela Frost, Andrew and Natalie Frost and Tyler and Brooke Frost; a great-grandson, Jason Frost; two brothers, Ronald Frost of Oakland and Roland Frost and his wife, Shirley, of Wales; a sister, Edna Hutchinson and her husband, John, of Augusta; a brother-in-law, Randall Tibbetts of Leeds; and many special nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Wesley Frost Jr. and a sister, Geneva Robinson.

FROST — Ken, 71, a longtime resident of East Monmouth, died in Auburn on Nov. 10. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, at Monmouth Ridge Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Monmouth.
