Monthly luncheon

RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1963 will meet at noon Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Brian’s

Public supper

MEXICO — A public supper will be served at 5
p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (the
Green Church). A traditional turkey supper will include homemade pies.
The cost will be $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. For more information, call 364-8603. 

Library program

MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will host a “Terrific
Turkey Party” for kids ages 2 to 10 as part of its Wonderful Wednesdays
monthly programs. The party will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 18, and will be held at the Calvin
Lyons Hall next door to the library (the lower level of the Town Hall
building).

Included in the program will be stories, games, craft and goodies to eat. For more information, contact the library at

Class lunch

BETHEL — Members of Stephen’s High School Class of 1950 will meet for
lunch at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Rooster’s Roadhouse. All are
welcome. 

HS meeting

PERU — The Peru Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Peru Town Office.

Historical Society

RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Rumford Falls Auditorium in the
Municipal Building, Congress Street.

The speaker will be William Weston, current vice
president and long-time member of the society. He will discuss
the “Evolution of Water Power at the Dam in Rumford.” In
addition, members and guests are encouraged to come prepared to share their memories
of their childhood Thanksgiving events.

Although dues of $10 each person are due in September, anyone still wishing to participate in the current years’
events, may pay dues to the Treasurer, Lewis
Irish, at the November meeting.
