BRIDGTON – Bobbi Cribby, BSN, MS, director of clinical practice at Bridgton Hospital, was a speaker at the ninth annual Hawaii Medicare Rural Hospital Conference, which was held from Oct. 21 to 23 in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
Cribby was invited to be a guest speaker on the Medication Reconciliation Project currently underway at Bridgton Hospital. Bridgton Hospital was awarded a $50,000 Maine Health Access Foundation Grant for the project in 2008. The project is working on establishing changes for patient medication safety in the acute care setting and in the community. Working with hospital professionals and physicians, as well as community pharmacists, the team recently launched their Blue Folder Project, a medication safety initiative for the hospital and community.
As director of clinical practice at Bridgton Hospital, Cribby is responsible for management of clinical initiatives, including project management, evidence-based practice quality and regulatory oversight.
Cribby is president-elect of the Organization of Maine Nurse Executives for 2009-2010, a professional organization of nursing leaders in Maine who directs the course for nursing by promoting sound health care policies within their organizations and at the state, local and national level.
A graduate of Mercy School of Nursing, Cribby received her BSN from St. Joseph’s College and her MS in health care administration from New England College. She joined the Bridgton Hospital nursing staff in 1971 and has served in numerous roles during her tenure. She is a resident of Naples.
