Estelle G. Richardson
1911 – 2009

CANTON – Estelle Garey Richardson, 98, of Canton, died early Tuesday evening, Nov. 10, at the Victorian Villa in Canton.

She was born on Sept. 3, 1911, in Elizabeth, N.J., the daughter of John and Harriet Estelle (Randolf) Garey. She attended schools in Elizabeth, N.J.

Estelle was the secretary and treasurer of the Pinewood Press, in Canton, which she and her husband, Edward Otis Richardson, owned and operated. She and her husband were married on June 6, 1931. He died on May 29, 1983.

She was a member of the Canton United Baptist Church, Women’s Fellowship, former member of the Evergreen Chapter No. 24 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Canton and Turner Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a grandson, Shawn Barclay of Fayette; great-granddaughters, Kim Barclay of Fayette, and Ann Menthe and her husband, Rob, of Chesterville; great great-grandchildren, Camryn and Chloe Menthe of Fayette; a son-in-law, Joe Gould of Fayette; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Gould, brothers and sisters.
