DEAR SUN SPOTS: My family will be flying out of the Portland airport at a very early morning hour soon. Can you find me the names and contact numbers for hotels near PWM that offer shuttle service to and from the airport and allow you to leave your vehicle in their parking lot free if you stay there the night before? Thank you. — No Name, South Paris

ANSWER: You might call 1-800-PARK-FLY, or visit http://buyreservations.com, which lists four of the local hotels that offer that option. Other hotels that advertised online included the Best Western Merry Manor Inn on Route 1, 774-6151, www.bestwestern.com; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, 303 Sable Oaks Drive, 775-3900, www.hiexpress.com; Hampton Inn, 171 Philbrook Ave., 773-4400; and the Hilton Garden Inn, 145 Jetport Blvd., 828-117, www.hilton.com. The practice seems pretty widespread, so if you have a favorite chain of hotels, give them a call. They probably offer the deal, too, if they have a hotel near the airport.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You’ve been a great help in finding items for me in the past. I have a new request. My son needs a 9- by 7-foot garage door. His is falling down and rotted, and he isn’t working at this time and can’t buy a new one. I am looking for one for $100 or less to get him by until he can afford one. It doesn’t matter what it’s made of, just in good condition. People can call me at 674-2410, and we will pick up. Thank you. — Mrs. Richard Dewitt, South Paris
