VFW meeting
LEWISTON — The Longley Dionne VFW Post 9150 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Multi-Purpose Center. All officers and members are encouraged to attend.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 9 were as follows: first, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; second, Cynthia and Bill Clifford; third, Mary Leahey and Paul Sherman; winners on Nov. 10, first, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau; second, Linda Leotsakos and Jan Arey; third, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; first in B, Helen Little and Alberta Turner.
Winners at Schooner Estates on Nov. 4 were: first, Larry Fortier and Les Buzzell; second, Tom Dahlberg and David Wallace; third, Anna Vitiello and Paul Barber; winners on Nov. 11, first, Anna Vitiello and David Wallace; second, Patricia and Mike Quinn; third, Lue Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.

Holiday dinner
LEWISTON — Tickets are available for the Holy Family St. Ann Sodality Christmas Membership Dinner to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Marco’s Restaurant.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and entertainment will follow. To purchase tickets, contact any board member, Anita at 782-4516 or Simone at 784-4865. Tickets must be purchased prior to Saturday, Dec. 5.
Cribbage results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 12 were: first, Joan Sampson and Roger Briggs; second, Bob Leclair and John Violette; third, Lorraine Fillion and Claire Jean; fourth, Anita Cusson and Linda Dostie Scott; fifth, Clara Mennealy and Cecile LeBlond.

Garden club
AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union Garden Club will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the clubhouse, 19 Elm St. Jody Goodwin, of Turner, will give a photo presentation on French gardens as a result of a recent trip to France. Goodwin is known for her garden column in the Sun Journal as well as her gardening and landscaping in Turner. Hospitality will be provided by Marcia Baxter. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome.
