Lowell “Pete” I. Jenkins, Jr.
1938 – 2009
LEEDS — Lowell “Pete” I. Jenkins Jr., 71, of Fish Street, Leeds, died late Saturday evening at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 25, 1938, in Providence, R.I., the son of Lowell I. and Marion P. (Marsh) Jenkins Sr. He attended school in Rhode Island, continuing his education at the University of Rhode Island. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
On Sept. 7, 1963, in Barrington, R.I., he married Lorraine E. Morrissette. Prior to his retirement, Pete managed the Sack Theaters in Boston, and worked at Snow’s and the Red Cross in Lewiston.
He was an avid reader, and enjoyed listening to jazz music. Pete was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lorraine Jenkins of Leeds; two daughters, Heather Taylor and her husband, John, and their children, Christopher and Daisy, of Sabattus, and Bramble Buran and her husband, David “Bo,” and their children, Bailey, Kasey, David and Sydney, of Cohoes, N.Y.
