DEAR SUN SPOTS: We enjoy reading your column every day. We missed seeing “Neighbor to Neighbor” on PBS, Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We heard from our relatives and friends that it was very interesting. Please let us know when we’ll see a rerun. Thank you. — Ida G., Lewiston

ANSWER: Sun Spots corresponded with Craig at Round Point Movies, based in Lewiston, which produced “Neighbor to Neighbor.” Craig said there has been a great deal of interest in a rebroadcast, but no date has been set yet. There is a public showing scheduled for Jan. 18, Martin Luther King Day 2010, but he’s not sure of the timing yet. A showing at Frontier Cinema in Brunswick is also on the horizon. If you know of an organization that would like to host a showing, e-mail craig@roundpointmovies.org.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am a Leeds Civil War historian. The sesquicentennial of the Civil War will be celebrated from 2011 through 2015. I am writing biographies on several of the men who lived in Leeds at some period in their lives and served in the Civil War. I am looking for any information, pictures, etc. Any information will be copied and returned or may be submitted as a copy. I’ll be happy to provide any information I already have to interested parties.

There are about 200 men in all, too many to list here, but if you suspect you may have information on a Leeds Civil War solider, I may be contacted at 524-5933 or stocker7@fairpoint.net. The first 10 I will bio in depth are Stephen Boothby, Thomas Bubier, Levi Wheeler, John Babson Jennings, Dexter Howard, James Libby, Seth Rose, Charles Howard, Horace Hadley and Henry S. Turner; however, information on any others will be welcomed. — Marilyn Burgess, Leeds

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Does anyone know where I can get a cuckoo clock repaired? — No Name, No Town

ANSWER: There are two repair shops listed in the phone book. Sun Spots spoke with both, and they assured her they do fix cuckoo clocks. They are Rohman Clockworks at 350 Minot Ave. in Auburn, 784-1211, and Harry W. Hepburn III, Antique Clock Repair Services, Harrison, 583-2821.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Can you find out when Hodgman’s Frozen Custard in New Gloucester will be open for their winter weekend? Thank you. — No Name, Lisbon

ANSWER: They will be open Dec. 5-6 and Dec. 12-13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Their flavors will be vanilla, chocolate, pumpkin and black raspberry. Sales are on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t tarry, because flavors often sell out before the end of the second weekend.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: About a month ago you had someone looking to buy slide film. The response was that Photo Finish no longer carries it. At that time I tried going on the Web site to let you know that we can get it, but not many people buy it, so we do not stock it. I have just purchased five rolls for the holidays. It is expensive at $12 a roll, but we can get it and do have some at this time. Thank you. — Cindy Sloat, owner
