Angelina Pruyn

 1932-2009

STOUGHTON, Mass. — Angelina A. (Spugnardi) Pruyn, a 51-year resident of Bridgewater, Mass., died peacefully on Nov. 19. She was 77.

She was born in Lewiston in 1932 to the late Emile and Edna Spugnardi. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing.

In the mid 50s she moved to Boston and worked at the Tufts Floating Hospital and attended the Boston College School of Nursing. In 1958, Angelina married the late Kenneth C. Pruyn and moved to Bridgewater, Mass., where they raised their three children. She was a nurse at the Cardinal Cushing Hospital, and later at Sachem Skilled Nursing Home.

Angelina was a dedicated nurse for over 50 years. She loved caring for her patients, and she admired and cherished the relationships she shared with her colleagues and friends over so many years.

She was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Women’s Club.

Angelina was the devoted wife of the late Kenneth C. Pruyn. She was the loving mother of, Kenneth C. Pruyn Jr. of Middleboro, Mass., Susan A. Pruyn and her husband, Dr. Avi Spira, of Newton, Mass., and John D. Pruyn and his wife, Pamela J., of Taunton, Mass.; proud grandmother of, Thomas, Stephen, Benjamin, Jadon, Nicholas and Emily; loving sister of, John Spugnardi and his wife, Betty, of Turner, and the late George and Arlene Spugnardi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
