Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Nov. 17 were
as follows: first, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; second, Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzunski; third, Marta Clements and Claire Lyons; fourth/fifth tie, Anna Vitiello and Rosemarie Goodwin with
Luke Merry and Mike Quinn.
Winners at Schooner Estates on Nov. 18 were as follows: first, Sherrie Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; second, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; third, Les Buzzell and John Hackett; fourth, Tom Dahlbery and David Wallace.
There will be no game on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area.
Grange meeting
POLAND — Excelsior Grange 5, 446 Harris Hill Road, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, for business, including further plans for the annual Christmas Fair to be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, in the downstairs hall. All members and anyone interested in helping with the fair are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served following the meeting.
Turkey dinner
LEWISTON —
The Saracens Motorcycle Club, Turner Chapter, will have a turkey dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at The Cage, 99 Ash St. The event will raise money to buy Christmas hams for the Auburn food bank and donations will be accepted. There will be a live band.
Club calendars
LEWISTON — The 2010 Boys and Girls Club calendars are now available. All the photos were taken by area youth and feature locations all around Lewiston-Auburn and the surrounding western Maine.
More than 165 people throughout the area voted on their top 13 photos during a traveling photo exhibit that featured the work of more than 20 club members. The calendars sell for $10 and all the proceeds go back into the project, which is now in its second year.
The framed and matted photos are also for sale for $15.75, a portion of which goes to support L/A Arts. For more information or to find out more about buying either a calendar or any of the photos, contact the club at 782-2446.
Toy drive

Comedy night
AUBURN — The William J. Rogers American Post 153 will host a comedy night 8 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov 20, at the post, Cook and South Main streets, New Auburn. Donations of $5 will help send items to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The night will feature Dennis Fogg and Friends, with Mike Koutrobis from Boston, Cloud Morris of Portland and Glen Cogswell.
