LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Nov. 16, with 34 members present.
A Thanksgiving meal was enjoyed at noon with volunteers bringing in a variety of dishes.
Following the meal, Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for deceased members and for the men and women in the Armed Forces.
The secretary’s report was read and accepted.
Reported on the sick list were Gerry Richards and Lorraine Cote.
Jeannette Buck announced that there would be an open house from 2 to 4 p.m.
at Lois Goding’s house in honor of Goding’s 90th birthday.
The Christmas dinner will be served on Monday, Dec. 14. Anyone wishing to attend must sign up and pay for their meal by Monday, Dec. 7.
The following officers were elected for the next two years: Shirley Couture, chairwoman; Marilyn DeSoto, treasurer; and Fern Doiron, recording secretary.
The Monday, Nov. 23 meeting was cancelled.
The 50-50 was won by Clemance Moreau and five door prizes were won by Diane Getz, Margaret Slovak, Jeannine Williams, Athanase Couture and Georgia Hersey.
The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were enjoyed.
