The Hebron Historical Society recently held a fundraiser that included a luncheon with a lecture on old barns, followed by a guided tour of seven of the town’s barns. Don Perkins of Raymond, pictured, was the speaker and barn analyst. Perkins is a freelance writer of several articles on old barns in Maine newspapers and is currently working on a book about Maine barns. TheHebron Historical Society’s next meeting will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the town office. The program will feature Brother Arnold of the New Gloucester Shakers. The public is invited.
