Tree lighting

NEW GLOUCESTER — The annual New Gloucester Tree Lighting will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at the New Gloucester Town Hall, Route 231. Kevin Fowler will emcee the lighting, the Gray-New Gloucester High School Chorus will sing, the town library will hold its annual open house with refreshments and the New Gloucester History Barn will be open to show its newest exhibits. All are invited.

Grange meeting

AUBURN — Danville Junction Grange 65 will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov.
27, at the hall, for a potluck supper. The meeting will begin at
7 p.m., followed by bingo. Members are reminded to bring small prizes.
All members and guests are welcome. 

Christmas party

LEWISTON — The members of Lewiston Senior Citizens will have a
Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 11, at the Ramada Inn. Doors will open
at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon. The menu will include either chicken
cordon bleu or fish. Entertainment will be provided by Nel Meservier.

There will be door prizes and pot of gold. The cost for the event is
$12 each person. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Dec. 2, by
calling the Lewiston Senior Citizens office at 784-2926, ext. 207.
Tickets may be purchased at the office.
