AUBURN — A Turner man told police he rear-ended the car in front of him because he was distracted by girls.
The 1989 Toyota driven by Laurier R. Audet, 49, hit the back of a 2004 Ford driven by Katherine E. Marble, 30, of Auburn at 10:30 a.m. Sunday on Court Street. Damage to the two cars was estimated at $2,000 apiece. Both were towed.
Audet told police he was traveling at about 30-35 mph along Court Street. Marble’s car was stopped to turn left onto Western Avenue. Audet said he looked to the right at some girls and when he looked back in front of his car he saw, too late, that Marble had stopped.
Marble complained of neck pain, according to an accident report.
