1924 – 2009
AUBURN — Olive B. Record, 85, of West Minot died Saturday, Nov. 21, at Hospice House.
She was born in Buckfield, June 13, 1924, the daughter of Ernest and Bessie Turner Buck and graduated from Buckfield High School. She worked for 13 years at Pioneer Plastics, but was mainly a homemaker for her family.
In February 1946, she married Glendon Record, who died Jan. 25, 2004.
She loved preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas with the family. She deeply cared for her immediate family and firends. She also enjoyed attending dances with Glendon.
She will be joining him, her husband of 58 years, and will be greatly missed by her son, Gary and his wife, Nadean, of Scarborough; her daughter, Karla Edwards and her husband, Joe, of Minot; six grandchildren, Jon, Shawn, Dawn-Rae, Glendon, Nicole and Tyler; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff, doctors and volunteers of the Hospice House in Auburn, and the nurses and doctors of Central Maine Medical Center.
