On Oct. 13, Department of Maine American Legion Auxiliary Americanism Chairwoman Edith Lemieux visited the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 of Lewiston to speak on Americanism. Lemieux was Past President of the unit many years ago. Lemieux is asking all the Auxiliaries in Maine to hold a Christmas drive for men and women serving in the Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Items may include cookies, fudge, hard candy, crackers, clothing or other personal items.
