Jorgen Winther ‘John’ Pedersen
1931 – 2009
INVERNESS, Fla. — Jorgen Winther “John” Pedersen of Homosassa, Fla., died unexpectedly at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Fla., Monday, Nov. 23.
He was born in Denmark, March 27, 1931, son of Rasmus Seneca Winther Pedersen and Karen Kristiane Norgaard.
He served several years in Greenland working at the Distant Early Warning facility. He was employed by ITT, Standard Electric and Powertronic Electronics in Toronto, Canada, and Philips N.A. in Lewiston, until his retirement.
He and his wife of 44 years, Priscilla Marie Hansen of Gray, enjoyed traveling throughout the country and Canada, as well as sailing and fishing with their beloved son among the islands of Casco Bay, and visiting family in Denmark and Canada.
He is sadly missed by his wife; son, Hans Anthony Pedersen; two sisters in Denmark; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
