The 18th annual concert and ball of the Relief Association of the Auburn Fire Department was held last evening in Auburn Hall, with about 100 couples present, in spite of the adverse weather conditions.

The manual outlines basic procedure in handling various police functions, including accident investigations, public relations work, criminal investigations, beat and cruiser patrols and the like. If accepted by the Lewiston Police Commission, copies would be made available to all members of the department.

Aside from reducing by one the number of trucks on the road, few changes will be made in Lewiston’s snowplowing program for the coming season, says Public Works Director Norman R. Lamie.

Lamie also said he is hoping for good weather until Dec. 31 because the city has only about $75,000 — enough for two bad storms — left in the 1984 snowplowing budget.
