SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Boston Celtics assignee Bill Walker scored 25 points, but it wasn’t enough to help the Maine Red Claws win their first game as a member of the NBA D-League.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce overcame an early 11-point deficit and roared to a 112-95 victory over the Red Claws in the season opener.

Reggie Williams scored a game-high 29 points, hitting 10-of-13 field goals for the Skyforce, while Keith Brumbaugh came off the bench to add 18 points.

The Red Claws led 29-24 after the first period, but the hosts took charge in the second quarter, closing out the half with a devastating 15-2 run, and Maine never regained the lead. The Skyforce led by as many as 23 points in the second half.

Billy Thomas added 18 points, while Abdulai Jalloh and Stanley Thomas chipped in with 17 apiece for the Claws.

Maine plays next at the Dakota Wizards on Saturday before returning to Portland for its home opener next Friday against Springfield.
