AUBURN — Roger J. Plourde, 68, of 261 Sabattus St., Lewiston, died peacefully at the Hospice House on Saturday, Nov. 28, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Van Buren, July 30, 1941, the son of O’Neil and Simonne (Violette) Plourde. He married Constance L. Driscoll on Dec. 10, 1965.
He owned Four Seasons Golf on Center Street in Auburn, earning a trip to Las Vegas for high salesman of the year in the state of Maine. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years, being employed at Lewiston Crushed Stone, W.E. Cloutier, Cianbro and CLH and Son.
Having been disabled for many years allowed him time to spend with his family and his devoted pets, KC and Missy. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and watching the Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots. He was a loving and honorable man who will be forever missed and always in his family’s thoughts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years; his children, Nancy Therrien and husband, Bill, Karen Dubuc and husband, Dan and Jerry Plourde and companion, Barbara Poisson, all of Lewiston; and his grandchildren, Jason and Kayla Therrien, Danielle and Joline Dubuc and Justin Plourde.
A special thank you to his many doctors and the wonderful support team at the Hospice House.
