Daniel J. Marquis, whose interest in photography was sparked by his love of nature, will give an artist talk at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 at L/A Arts’ Gallery 5. A featured photographer in the "Winter Light" exhibit, his images depict the beauty of the Maine outdoors and the architecture of Lewiston/Auburn. His work has been displayed at the Maine Photography Show and he was awarded Best of Show in the 2008 Maine Sportsman’s Show photo competition. He has also had several photos published in Nature Photographer Magazine. His artwork, above, is titled "Blue Morning." Gallery 5 is at 49 Lisbon St., next to Fuel Restaurant.
