1920 – 2009
AUBURN — Cassie M. Grant, 89, a former resident of Bishop Hill Road, Leeds, died Sunday, Nov. 29, at Clover Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past 3½ years.
She was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Wollaston, Mass., the daughter of Frank R. and Albina Farmer Grant. She graduated from Quincy High School in Wollaston, Mass., and was a 1941 graduate from Simmons College in Boston. She was employed as an investment counselor, for the United Investment Counsel in Boston, Mass.
In her younger years, she was a concert pianist. She enjoyed knitting and doing needlepoint, and received great joy from her different dogs over the years. She also enjoyed working with school children and volunteered many years in the local schools, she also contributed heavily to many scholarship funds.
She is survived by many cousins and many dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Jessie in 2002.
