Dave Griffiths wrote a confused response (Nov. 27) to my letter of Nov. 20. He mentioned my comment that President Barack Obama makes me feel “maniacal” — like a mental disorder.

Admittedly, Obama is driving me and millions more Americans quite crazy. He questioned what I meant about Obama diverting our attention. My letter was totally clear that he is diverting our attention using Eric Holder’s decision to bring terrorists to New York for trial.

You needn’t watch Fox News to know that Obama faces huge opposition to this partial list: the stimulus, TARP, financial takeovers and bonuses, auto industry takeovers, cash for clunkers, government-run health care, cap and tax, the cabinet and czars being avowed Marxists and tax cheats, his affinity for our sworn enemies and his deference to terrorists, his apologies for America, and his complete ineptness in serving as commander in chief, to name just some. He is failing. So he diverts our attention. Maybe Griffiths should watch some Fox News for the truth. It’s not on MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC or CNN. They avoid the truth.

Griffiths, too, avoided the issue. Does he favor bringing enemy combatants (terrorists) to New York where they will spew their venomous, anti-American rants and where we risk an O.J. Simpson-type acquittal when they’ve already pleaded guilty? That was the point of my letter.

Americans are near “hysterical” on this trial decision. At least the sane ones are.
