1926 – 2009
LEWISTON — Constance B. Records, 82, of Auburn, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, at Central Maine Medical Center with family at her side.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 10, 1926, a daughter of Richard and Eleanor Burrows. She was educated in Auburn schools, graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1944, and remained a lifelong resident of this community.
On June 26, 1953, she married Kenneth Records, who predeceased her on June 7, 2008. Connie retired from AT&T after 23 years. A longtime member of East Auburn Baptist Church, she lovingly served in various ministries including the choir, The Bells, and the Ladies’ Bible Study.
She had many creative interests, including quilting, knitting, crocheting, tatting and sewing. She also had a passion for crossword puzzles and was highly competitive at Scrabble. Her love of children, animals and birds knew no bounds. Fun-loving and loyal, she was a joy to be with.
She was a devoted, loving and giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.
She leaves three sons, James Moody Jr. and wife, Sharyn, of Strafford, N.H., Michael Moody of Portland and Robert Moody of Leeds; two daughters, Carole Thompson and husband, the Rev. Guy Thompson of Elysburg, Pa., and Kirsten (Keta) Provencher and husband, Gerard, of Auburn; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends; and her extended church family at East Auburn Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents; and two sisters, Joan Saucier and Sally Dubois.
