When Twin City Boarders on Main Street in Lewiston decided to close shop, Operations Manager Scott Day of Turner decided to open his own shop, D.I.Y. in the same location. D.I.Y. stands for Do It Yourself, the theme he has lived by since he was a kid living in an area where there there was no place to skateboard. He learned to take the initiative and get things done himself. He plans to have workshops this coming summer to show people how to build ramps and other techniques to accomplish things where there is little or no help available. In addition to skateboards, he will be selling snowboarding gear. Shop hours will be Monday-Friday 11-5, Saturday 11-7, and Sunday 11-5.
