MEXICO — Police believe a series of thefts in the Highland Terrace area from the end of November to Dec. 1 are all connected.
Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said the items taken include:
• A bicycle valued at $200 from the porch of a Parker Street home sometime during the early morning of Dec. 1.
• A 30-30 rifle valued at $300 from a vehicle parked in front of a Fourth Street home, believed taken between Nov. 28 and Nov. 30.
• A Christmas deer statue valued at $100 from the lawn of a Highland Terrace home, believed to have been taken early on Nov. 30.
Anyone with information or who may have seen something suspicious is asked to call the Mexico Police Department at 364-5686.
In other police news, a representative of Courtesy Cab on Main Street reported the theft of $200 from the cash register at 5:47 a.m. Nov. 26. It is believed that someone entered the business through a window earlier in the morning.
